A hot & cold water dispenser that never needs a bottle
Updated 29 September 2026
Everything a water cooler does, without the 19-litre bottles, the delivery schedule or the empty-bottle pile.
Short version: the SkyTap 20L looks and works like a hot-and-cold water cooler, but it never needs a bottle. It makes up to 20 litres of drinking water a day from the air, or purifies your tap or borehole water, through multi-stage filtration with UV. R15,999 for the unit; import and delivery quoted to your door.

A water cooler without the bottles
A normal office or home water cooler depends on a 19-litre bottle arriving on time. Someone orders it, someone lifts it, someone stores the empties, and when the delivery does not come, there is no water.
The SkyTap 20L removes the bottle entirely. It pulls moisture out of the air with a refrigeration coil, filters and UV-sterilises it, and holds it in a stainless tank ready to dispense hot or cold. If the air is dry, you can feed it from your tap or borehole instead and it purifies that supply through the same filters.

| Lifting | ~19 kg bottles | None |
| During a water outage | Only what is in stock | Keeps making water from the air |
| Plastic waste | Bottles and seals | None from bottles |
| Hot & cold | Yes | Yes: about 85–90°C and 6–10°C |

Questions
How much does it cost?
R15,999 for the unit. Import (DDP) and delivery to your address are quoted separately and itemised before you commit. SkyTap is not a VAT vendor, so no VAT is added.
Do I need to buy water bottles?
No. It makes its own water from the air, or purifies your tap or borehole supply.
Does it need plumbing?
No. It stands on the floor and plugs into a normal wall socket.
How much water will I really get?
Up to 20 litres a day in warm, humid conditions; less in dry winters. On dry days, feed it from the tap and it purifies that water instead. Running costs explained.
