Humidity swings through the year, so every SkyTap is built to work either way — pulling water out of the air when conditions suit it, and purifying your existing supply when they don't.
The unit draws in ambient air and cools it below dew point with a refrigeration compressor. The moisture condenses, then runs through filtration and UV sterilisation before it reaches your glass. No water inlet at all — just a plug socket.
Feed it tap, borehole or stored water and the same internal filtration system cleans it — sediment, ultrafiltration, activated carbon and UV. On a dry winter day it simply becomes an excellent purifier and hot-and-cold dispenser.

Filters need changing on a cycle. Rather than tracking that yourself and sourcing parts when the time comes, we courier them to your door on schedule for a fixed monthly amount.
On-site visits, labour, major replacement components and accidental damage aren't covered by the monthly fee. Filters take a few minutes to swap yourself, and any refrigeration technician can handle repairs with our parts and guidance. Month to month: cancel any time with 30 days' notice. We also suggest adding your unit to your home or business contents insurance once it arrives.
There's no showroom to visit and nothing for you to collect or clear. Freight, import duties and customs are handled on our side.

It pulls moisture out of the surrounding air and condenses it into liquid water using a refrigeration cycle, then cleans that water through several filtration stages and UV sterilisation. The unit runs off a standard electrical connection and needs no plumbing or municipal water connection while it's generating from air.
Yes. Every unit takes an external supply — tap, borehole or stored water — and runs it through the same internal filtration system. That means the machine stays useful as a purifier and hot-and-cold dispenser even when the air is too dry for efficient generation.
Rated figures are measured at 30°C and 80% relative humidity, which is a warm humid day. Real output moves with temperature, humidity and airflow. The 80L unit, for example, is tested at roughly 50 litres a day at 27°C and 60% humidity, and around 11 litres at 25°C and 30% humidity. On dry days you can switch to purification mode and feed it from the tap — that's exactly why both modes exist. SkyTap Care is R199 per month for the 20L and R249 per month for the 80L. Every 6 months we courier a complete replacement filter set to your door, plus the RO or UF membrane when it's due. It also includes filter reminders, remote technical support by WhatsApp and video call, priority after-sales help and 10% off out-of-warranty parts. It doesn't include on-site visits or labour; filters take a few minutes to swap yourself, and any refrigeration technician can handle repairs with our parts and guidance. Yes. There's no plumbing, no installation and no modification to the property. It stands on the floor and plugs into a normal socket, so nothing needs your landlord's approval, and it comes with you when you move.
The SkyTap 20L home unit is R15,999 and the 80L business unit starts from R24,950. Those are unit prices: import (DDP) and delivery to your address are quoted separately, itemised, before you commit. Yes, on request. We quote for Namibia, Botswana and other SADC countries, and for larger commercial and industrial projects elsewhere in Africa. Cross-border orders are quoted individually because freight, duties and paperwork differ by country.
For drinking and cooking water, most households of 2–5 people are well served by the 20L. Offices, guest houses, lodges and larger families usually need the 80L. Farms, schools, clinics and bottling operations should look at the 250L-and-up range. Output depends on your local humidity, so check expected output in your region or compare the 20L and 80L.
