Humidity swings through the year, so every SkyTap is built to work either way — pulling water out of the air when conditions suit it, and purifying your existing supply when they don't.
The unit draws in ambient air and cools it below dew point with a refrigeration compressor. The moisture condenses, then runs through filtration and UV sterilisation before it reaches your glass. No water inlet at all — just a plug socket.
Feed it tap, borehole or stored water and the same internal filtration system cleans it — sediment, ultrafiltration, activated carbon and UV. On a dry winter day it simply becomes an excellent purifier and hot-and-cold dispenser.

Filters need changing on a cycle. Rather than tracking that yourself and sourcing parts when the time comes, hand it to us for a fixed monthly amount.
Major replacement components, accidental damage and repairs outside the applicable warranty aren't covered by the monthly fee and are quoted separately. We also suggest adding your unit to your home or business contents insurance once it arrives.

It pulls moisture out of the surrounding air and condenses it into liquid water using a refrigeration cycle, then cleans that water through several filtration stages and UV sterilisation. The unit runs off a standard electrical connection and needs no plumbing or municipal water connection while it's generating from air.
Yes. Every unit takes an external supply — tap, borehole or stored water — and runs it through the same internal filtration system. That means the machine stays useful as a purifier and hot-and-cold dispenser even when the air is too dry for efficient generation.
Rated figures are measured at 30°C and 80% relative humidity, which is a warm humid day. Real output moves with temperature, humidity and airflow. The 80L unit, for example, is tested at roughly 50 litres a day at 27°C and 60% humidity, and around 11 litres at 25°C and 30% humidity. On dry days you can switch to purification mode and feed it from the tap — that's exactly why both modes exist. R299 per machine per month covers scheduled replacement of routine filtration components, filter reminders and scheduling, an annual inspection, annual cleaning and sanitisation, technical support, priority after-sales help, a maintenance record for your machine, and better pricing on parts and repairs that fall outside the warranty. Major components, accidental damage and out-of-warranty repairs are quoted separately.
